My introduction to fishing Lake Huron Perch was about 50 years ago on the south pier in Kincardine, you used small minnows on two hooks tied about 12" apart and you where not allowed to bring it in until you had two fish on your line,,,,,,,,,,remember it like it was yesterday, every sunday morning, must have ate one heck of a lot of fish ,,,remember the catching part , don't remember the eating part>>>>

Glad to see them making a comeback,

About 15 boats off Goderich today and everyone catching...smaller male fish starting to move in.

Good timing for Good Friday's fish dinners!

All the sub-specie populations are exploding due to reduced numbers of predatory fish. Crappies are great eating, but wherever they show up, walleye stocks start to dwindle. Do the research. The ministry loves it so much they are quietly looking for other invading species with benefits.

Lots of North winds for the last few weeks has put a damper on the perch fishing.

This past Saturday the morning was calm and 20 boats were off Goderich....no perch!

They may come back??...we need south warmer weather!
