I would like to deer hunt with my bow on my 2.8 acre proprety but don't know if there is any laws about property sizes and I have called the ministry and they don't seem to know. I have all the landowners permission around me to track onto there property if it runs on there property when I shoot it. Is this legal?
Check the Township bylaw for discharge of firearms, that's where you'll find any property size restrictions. Depending where you live, you'll probably find it on the town website.
Obviously, it will depend on where your 2.8 acres is located? If you're in a rural area that hunting is legal, and you already have neighbouring landowners permission to retrieve, then it's not even up for discussion. Hunt it! A friend of mine hunts bear from his 2 acre property. He has permission to retrieve from the neighbouring landowner, so its all good.
Sounds like a challenge. How big an animal from how small of land.
If there are no Bylaws prohibiting you from hunting and shooting and you have permission and can do it safetly then you are good to go. Getting permission from neighbors to retrieve game is a great idea.
My parcel of lands is only about 25 acres and our family has hunted it for years with great success.

I could shoot a deer with a 338 Lapua in my backyard shooting off my deck and I only have 1.86 acres. As has been stated, if there are no municipal restrictions for discharge or distance to homes and other buildings then you should be good.
