The one thing I wish I was able to do when I was growing up was learn how to play a musical instrument - at the time we just didn't have the money to pay for lessons or any instrument - my father played a concertina - it was like an accordion but had buttons on it instead of keys like a piano - when my brother was stationed in Germany after the war he went down to where my father was raised and visited a lot of my relatives - they were all surprised that he couldn't play the instrument because they all remembered how good my father was when he was young - luckily my kids were all given music lessons when they were growing up - they were so so but my one son really took to it and now can play several instruments -
My father used to tell us how things were in Germany when he was growing up - inflation was so bad that the money wasn't worth anything - he would play his concertina at a local beer hall and come home with the whole concertina bag filled with worthless money - sometimes I think that is going to happen to the dollar because of the way money is being spent - our national debt is now over 27 trillion
