Variants of Concern

Now, I will start by saying I'm just a simple con-struck-shun worker with no medical background, just real life experience and knowledge.
Nowadays all the news seem to talk about is these VOCs. They talk like this is a surprise, unexpected and a game-changer.
Correct me if I am wrong, but is it not true that all viruses will mutate and evolve or change to better prolong their own lifespan? Other-wise they are just a flash in the pan and disappear.
It happens annually with flue viruses, causing a guessing game for big Pharm to pile the big bucks in their purse even though they get their annual guessing game plan wrong more often then not.
It seems every time more people get tired of hearing the same old dark clouds rolling out the thunder, the media and their puppet masters alter their own stories to be more doom and gloom.
Annual numbers of national death have not had a noticable increase.
A pandemic by definition (in my opinion, and this is my thread ) should affect and remove a nominal percentage of the population to be a pandemic, whether it be 3%,4%,5%, or 10%. Not that I want this to happen, but it just has not.
I do believe this puts the spotlight on the media for being sensationalist to keep coverage up front and center, as it is 24/7 Covid and pretty much nothing else.
Lots more stuff is happening around the world unreported, be it sexual harrassment at highest levels of government, military action in lands we are not seeing reported, and, gasp, actually good news too.
I believe the people are sick and tired of and filled to the top with Covid threats, lockdowns, curve-flattening, and yes, just 3 or 4 more weeks and it will be better and we can get back to normal. Enough is enough, and I believe that is what a bigger percentage of people are feeling.
If you feel you have to stay inside all day every day for the rest of your life to be safe and watch the talking heads on tv, stay inside all day and watch the talking heads on tv. Do not tell me I have to do the same. Period.
Yah, I havd a few minutes on my hands, but I'm going out in the yard for some sun now, and will be in the turkey woods this weekend.

Conclusions

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to large scale testing of asymptomatic persons with low pretest probability, a practice not previously employed for any respiratory viral pathogen. SARS-CoV-2 Ct values may be of use when interpreting positive laboratory results derived from patients with low pretest probability, in particular, asymptomatic persons with no epidemiological link to a confirmed COVID-19case. The province of Ontario has produced guidance documents that facilitate risk-based patient management and follow up that do not rely on definitively concluding that a test is a true or false positive. Ongoing education regarding the increased possibility for false positive test results when testing high numbers of asymptomatic persons during periods of low community prevalence of SARSCoV-2, even when utilizing assays with excellent performance is required. This would benefit the healthcare community and potentially avoid unnecessary patient isolation, contact tracing and outbreak declaration.

Variants are the biggest joke of this whole thing.

I just put a post about variants in another thread. People need to do some basic research on how viruses work, then they'll understand that variants are part of natural virus evolution and generally not scary.

Our efforts to eradicate covid from existence while much of the world is infected could create some interesting strains though.

Interesting stuff. I wonder if we put as much effort into vaccine creation towards an extremely accurate and fast testing method if we wouldn't be in better shape? Conspiracy theories aside - I think it's bound to happen soon. A decent, effective and accurate rapid test would be a game changer.

I keep reading that MSM is to blame. Why do people become obsessed with using initial rather than spelling things out. Who or what is MSM? Can anyone spell out what these initial stand for? Before I miss out on who to blamed.

Main Stream Media aka MSM

As of April 20th 2021

399 people died under the age of 60 in Ontario since the pandemic began. From or with covid 19.


Over 1500 hundred died from an 1602 I think Ontario was in 2020 .

People have been gathering all over in Rally's by the hundreds they are still marching every weekend. They all haven't died yet and won't .

We need to be smart and protect the ones we love and the most vulnerable.

This pandemic has been in the long-term care homes not in the general public.


Schools and kids are safe right ?
