My wife’s uncle in the states used to hunt turkeys in from his deer stand. Pros would be out of sight cons there was always pellets in the meat.
Maybe better suited to bow hunting.
I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to hunt turkey from stand in ontario. I might be wrong but double check before hand !

Birds look up ... deer don't , right ? I will stick with my ground blinds and nail him when he sticks his neck out to gobble. Nothing says "Shut Up !" like a load of number fives to the head !
As longpointer said, hunting turkeys from a tree stand does not offer the same strategic advantage (hiding the hunter) that is does when deer hunting because unlike deer, turkeys are wary of predators from above. You would be pretty exposed to turkeys in a tree stand and it would be hard to hide your movements such as operating calls. I'm also inclined to think that turkeys can tell the difference between a call coming from the ground (more natural) and a call coming from up in a tree at a time of day when turkeys should be on the ground.
I don’t know, a few years ago while Deer hunting, 15 Turkeys would walk under my tree stand in the morning then same thing again in evening. lol That was before a fall hunt was open in that zone.
