Scheduled Shot

Well after doing a lot of research and talking to family members I finally made a decision - scheduled to get the J&J vaccine tomorrow - my one son and his wife and son got the J&J vaccine a couple days ago - my son and grandson felt bad for a day - the wife didn't get any bad effect - at first I was thinking of not getting any shot but felt that getting the virus would be bad for me because of my age (87) and also bad for my daughter who has Downs Syndrome - the J&J vaccine isn't 100% but it will keep you from really getting sick and dying in case you get the virus - the other two vaccines are too new and I felt that you take more chances that they could adversely you down the road - boy China really did a job on the rest of the world because of the way they handled this sickness - I hope when this is all over - if it ever is - they are made to pay a high price

That's my 'educated' choice Joe... , J&J is a traditional viral vector vaccine...not one of the experimental mRNA vaccines. Good choice and good reasoning.

I don't mind getting cold like symptoms, but if the vaccine will give me 100% protection from being hospitalised, that is the number that counts.

Well I got my J&J shot yesterday at around 1 pm - didn't have any bad reactions or anything - felt good after getting the shot - feel good today - got to keep on being careful because it takes 2 weeks for shot to complete immunity - its is suppose to be 72% effective in keeping you from getting the virus and if you are one of the 30% who gets the virus it shouldn't be real bad -

Me and the Mrs did the AZ vax a month ago. She had mild side effects for a couple of days (sore shoulder,achy,headache). All I got was a sore shoulder for a day or two. No biggie. Vaccine procurement and roll out in Canada has been an unmitigated disaster. Too many fingers in the pie. Now,we hear this disinformation that blood clots are affecting 1 out of 60K people,so,the government is "pausing" further AZ vaccines "out of an abundance of caution" until more data is amassed,yet,no one is saying where this disinformation is coming from. Talk about your total bolloxed clusterf**ks.................
