Heading up north in early October to chase some grouse. I usually use a bell but wonder if I should add a beeper to her collar if the bush is still pretty thick. Just run it in point only mode. Suggestions? Thanks

I do a bell and beeper on point. The cadence of the bell tells me how the dogs working and the beeper helps locate the dog when they lock up
Always a debate along my friends on this issue. I use the Bell until the woodcock are done and moved out. Once i'm only chasing grouse/hares I like the point only mode on the beeper.
