Ice Fishing Percy Boom and Percy Reach

Not looking for any secrets but I bought a place just up from Percy Reach in the back channel was hoping to get out for some ice fishing this winter.
I guess what I’m looking for is someone to tell me it’s not a waste of time LOL
Fished the boom and reach and caught some fish but never through the ice.

I’ve tried it close to the lock and got some crappies. Sketchy ice most of the time though
