Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir'-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older.
Again, this is a spin on fake news. It still continues to be Emergency Use Authorization and can be withdrawn at a moments notice. It is simply a re-issue.

Your right !!....according to that document it's just a renewal for it's continued Emergency Use
Authorization (EUA).

Found some clarification..

The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for people 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.

It sounds like the FDA has given the approval to market a 'new' Covid vaccine called Comirnaty and has re-renewed or extended the EAU for the original vaccine until it can be manufactured and distributed under the new label.
That will be our Fall shot :)
You are correct Mike. On the one hand they continue the EUA and on the other there is now an FDA approved vaccine.
