Numbers on the Forum?

I have asked help with forum issues before, and received little .
I am asking again for help in a hope .

The post count does not work,at least for me.
For days every post comes up with the same post count........

I absolutely do not lose sleep over the number of my posts,but if you have it being displayed,and if You run things by it- should it maybe work?

Just to give You a help to help me-i just posted this thread.

Before i did so-all my posts from few days past were at 1765 number.
Now, after this thread-all went up (ALL OF THEM) by 1 number.

Now all of them are 1766.

It's a running tally...your very first post on the forum will now have 1,766 and the last one you posted will have 1,766..it's called posts..not post. :)

MikePal is correct all your post will show the same number that is the total number of posts you have made to date. The next post you make will make them all 1767 up 1 from 1766 which is the total number of Posts you have made on this forum.

If you ever figure out 'WHY' the forum tracks members' posts let me know. They don't mean anything, your opinion as a newbie has the same weight as the old timmers when you're in a conversation.

You're absolutely right, MikePal.
I believe it's set up this way as a sort of prestige thing. Touching the foundation of the Forum would, I believe, erupt in utter chaos.
