Anyone else started making duck blinds yet? I just realised this is the 55th year I have been involved, although I doubt I was much help the first few years!

still working on a goose field for friday
I'm more of a mobile type hunter, I observe and try to get in the right spot earlier than the others. I can't believe it's already September though to be honest, I feel like the summer flew by after being locked down all spring.
I used to build my blind this long weekend as it gave the local ducks time to get used to it and be well hidden. Since the early goose and heritage day, the opener has yielded very few birds. I've also had a problem with someone try to wreck my blind so I don't know if I'll have a blind or not when I get there in the morning. I have now designed an on board blind so I can be more mobile. It doesn't matter for northern ducks. All you need is to be on or near their flight path and a makeshift blind.
