Opening Day of Early Season.
I really used to enjoy the reports on hunts from people on this site back in the day and we don't see them much at all anymore so i figured I'd post one.
Had a field scouted pretty good the last week to 10 days so was pretty confident we would be able to limit out fairly easily, i guess that was my first mistake. All are birds decided to hit a small little wheat field first thing. We waited around watching the birds pile into this field for about an hour and were contemplating packing it in but small groups of birds started to leave that field and come over to ours. Was a flurry of action for maybe 10 minutes. Ended up knocking down 13.
No matter how much you plan or scout a goose is always a goose and they will do what they want to do.
Started raining at the end so no picture but was nice to be out again.
Hope everyone has had some luck so far and good luck to those heading out this weekend.
