Beauty opener but a bit of a cluster $%^& at the end
Made it out to a spot that the camera showed had good potential for an afternoon hunt. Had the climber about 15 or 16 feet up and set by 4pm. Beautiful day to out.

Had 17 turkeys come in around 5pm and help themselves to the corn. They hung around for 15 minutes or so and eventually moved off with the bulk of them walking right under me.

10 minutes before the end of legal a doe and fawn showed up but they got a pass. Also did not take any pics of them as did not want to move and risk spooking them and correspondingly anything else that might show up in the last few minutes. Packed up at the end of legal and shimmied the climber down the tree. While crossing a ravine on the way back to the truck i rolled my ankle and twisted my knee. Heard bad unnatural sounds from both my ankle and the knee. Could not initially get up so just lay on my back for about an hour in the dark until the pain had eased a bit. Managed to get on my feet and very slowly and carefully hobbled back to my truck in the dark. What is normally a 15 minute walk took 2 hours and 15 minutes. Just got home and got the offended joints on ice while i suck back a whiskey or three. See how it is tomorrow but it may be few days before i am climber bound again.
