Vest for Large Furry Dog?

We picked up a rescue, she is a shepherd collie cross, not sure if anything else is in there but her nose is to the ground like a beagle most of the time. I want to be able to run her at the hunt camp but the burrs with her massive amount of fur means that is probably not a great idea, unless I want to brush her out for an hour after every trip.

Any of you find a vest that covers the front, belly and sides of your dog for working in this sort of stuff? The only things I see are more to make them visible rather than protect them.

My daughter bought a couple of vests at Pet Value (by the CT) for her dog. They weren't badly priced and they will do exchanges till you get the right fit.

Do they actually cover the chest? Most that we have seen are only for the back.

As far as I know, they have both styles, she has two types, both chest protectors.

Pet Valu has nothing for larger dogs, CT had one but the wrong size, another one that is neoprene but that would be no good in the summer.

Have you looked at sylmar vests? Available through Gun Dog Supply in the US, I think. Hope you are able to find something.
