Hey Everyone,
Got my first deer!
Quick question,
Found these black bean sized (or a bit smaller) growth while butchering the deer - see pic.

They located around the ribs, closer to the flank/belly area. I cut the meat around and threw it away, but planning the keep the ribs for the pup.
Liver looks very healthy and the deer seem to behave normally etc..
Is this a larvae of some kind of parasite?

Need to see a clearer pic to give you an answer. It's common to get small black blood vessel aneurysms that look like small beans, close to the bullet hole. Not sure if it's shockwave induced from the bullet impact. Could be small lymph nodes as well. Lots of small ones especially like on either side of the esophagus and trachea in the neck. Send a clearer pic if you can.
