who cares
well deer out west have lived with it for decades, sometimes I think the MNR does stuff just so they secure jobs / funding / government money, etc...
when it hit Wisconsin they went out hired sharp shooters and devastated the deer heard "so CWD wouldnt spread"... well when you lower the deer heard Bucks just pick up the pace and search harder and travel longer to find does to breed, so nothing helped.. it did get the head of Wisconsin DNR a nice job as a board of directors at one of the big insurance companies though (they love any chance to lower deer heards as it helps their collision claims!)

80%??? I'm really questioning the validity of the testing done.
Since deer are not obese, don't smoke, and do not grow old (except in very rare cases), it is very, very unlikely any will die from covid.
The spread of covid back from humans to deer may be a bit of an issue, but given the number of humans walking around with covid, it'll be a long time before deer pose a risk that has any statistical relevance.
More fear mongering.
Newsflash - there are hundreds of 'coronaviruses' that have been around for ages, and NONE of the tests isolate the specific virus that causes CV19. This is a fact.
Therefore, there is absolutely nothing wrong.
They just want to create more fear.
PCR tests are so ineffective for Covid that that the founder of PCR tests said they shouldn't be used. You can get a positive test from any corona virus and even influenza or the flu. These PCR tests are grossly unreliable for people, what makes you think they'd work on deer?
