We've always just applied for tags individually.
If you apply as a group and are successful, who gets the doe tag?
Thx.

I don’t believe there is anywhere in Ontario that you apply as a group for a doe tag
If you are talking about a controlled application, each member (4), gets a validation, which is on your summary. That validation tells you if you can shoot a buck, antlerless, or either or. Each group member uses the tag they got with their licence, so unless a group member used their tag on an archery deer, your group has 4 tags. Unless you have received an additional tag, which is available in some WMUs for a controlled hunt…
This is the only “group” application I’m aware of….
Antlerless tags are assigned to individuals. They are shared within a group exactly the same as buck tags are shared.
Thanks guys. You're right, I was confusing the controlled hunt application with a doe tag application.
We always hunt the controlled.
So you would apply for your regular tag first then once you're allowed to apply for controlled 1 guy will apply as the leader and get a group number for the wmu and the group, give that number to your members and they'll input and join your controlled group. That allows you to hunt the controlled hunt wmu with your regular tag usually for buck or doe and then you can party hunt with your group.
Basically applying for the controlled hunt allows you to use your regular tag for controlled hunt specific wmu for that week and allows you to harvest buck or doe.
