Ottawa Covid Cases..Emergency ??

The waining protection from the vaccines to prevent transmission/infection of the virus continues to diminish....we now see the cases numbers in the fully vaxxed surpassing, more than doubling, those of the unvaccinated here in Ottawa.

Nov 27th..

Total positive cases: 594

Fully vaxxed : 541
Partailly vaxxed: 53
Unvaccinated : 220

In Hospital - 10
In ICU - 0

Interesting stat...the medium age of positive infections, is now 33 yrs old...

With the severity of the infections seemingly under control...and have been for some time, the realization must be getting thru that this "pandemic' has become rather toothless. Falling well short of the criteria to be a 'Health Emergency' .

Yet the provincial government has extended the 'Emergency' measures, which were supposed to end Dec 1st...off another 3 months into Mar.

I guess the politicians like the extended powers they have enjoyed for the past 2 yrs...no rush to give it up :)

It is plainly obvious that this is an exercise in population control.
The mods should start a new topic thread and call it as such.

CSIS did warn that our governments had been compromised.

The case numbers of the fully vaxxed are doubling that of the unvaxxed, of course they are. What people aren't thinking about though is that 90% of Ottawa's population is vaxxed vs 10% that is not. So you have 541 cases out of 90% of the population vs 220 cases out of the remaining 10 %, let that sink in. We can play with numbers all day but I don't think anyone can dispute the fact that since the vaccine rollout people are much more comfortable about getting on with their lives.

Not disputing, as I said vaccines have prevented the severity of the infections. BUT our entire QR social system is based on positive cases. And being double vaxxed no longer is an indicator that you won't test positive.

I don’t know if the vaccine is the reason for any enhanced comfort.
Could be:

- natural immunity, which by now so many people have had and recovered from covid
- placebo effect from the vaccine on normies who just believe everything they see on the news and do whatever people tell them and love bending over
- general frustration and anger at the realization of being lied to and manipulated for 2 years, people just saying “to hell with it I’m gonna do what I want now”

It seems to me the people who are most worried about Covid are the ones who are double vaxxed.

Let’s see what happens in the next few months. Either restrictions lift and we finally get back to a long overdue normal, or mandatory boosters and gov keeps extending the ‘health’ measures...at which point the ‘conspiracy theorists’ will have been proven right yet again.

And then they die.

Just like in New Brunswick they doubled the deaths from the first year and a half in six's weeks.

Because they thought they were protected.

Now with almost 88% fully vaccinated over the age of 12 and they are worried about Christmas being cancelled.
