Shotgun Ejectors

Looking to get a simple shotgun with ejectors as the next toy. A shorter barreled coach gun or over/under.
Likely a Huglu or Revolution Armory so double barrels are more likely to shoot slugs similar on target when 30-40 yards out.
Thought ejectors would be a nice treat.
Curious on how Ejectors work with double barrels. My experience on this topic is limited to single barrel shotgun with Extractor.

Will only spent shells eject, or do both shells eject regardless if they were shot?
Example if one shot is taken from a coach gun, will both eject or just the one?
Also does the answer apply to all double barrel makes as an industry standard, or does answer vary by manufacturer?

A shotgun with proper ejectors will only eject the fired round. The unfired round will not be ejected.

You probably don't want a side X side, if you are thinking of shooting slugs. There is a focal point where the trajectories of the two barrels cross, which means they have a habit of throwing slug loads all over the place. You would be better to go with an over and under, that way the trajectories remain in the same line.

I know on my Ithaca's O/U only the spent shell gets ejected. My over/under's were made by SKB of Japan for Ithaca between 1966 and 1978. I have seen older doubles that only "lift" the shells and the shooter must than remove by hand .

That is the difference between ejectors and extractors.
