Outiftters for a Osceola Hunt?

So next Spring (in 2023, as it is too late this year) I want to head down to Florida to bag an Osceola, another step towards completing a Grand Slam, and my questions is, has anyone got an outfitter they would recommend, I want to be able to take my wife and 2 teenagers as they also hunt.

I have looked up lots on search engines, but they range in price and all seem to have good reviews.


Any help would be appreciated!

OK nobody else is asking, so what is an Osceola?

It is a wild turkey found in Florida.

Have you considered hunting public land and doing a self-guided hunt? Definitely a much more cost effective way of doing things.

Recommend you purchase the OnX app for the South Florida area and do some cyber scouting ahead of time.

First time I went I used an outfitter - Osceola Outfitters. Good experience, lots of land and low pressure as he limited the number of clients he took. After that I freelanced on WMA's. A lot more challenging and you need to have more time to invest - I was lucky as my in laws wintered in FL so I had a place to stay. they are a much prettier than our eastern i believe. I have a buddy that did the same as stubblebum.

It is a Sub Species of Wild Turkey only found in Florida, and is needed for a Grand Slam

Thanks, I want to use outfitter for first time, as i have zero florida hunting experience, but would be open to public land after learning a thing or two from local guides.

Fairly similar in looks to our Easterns, except for the very dark wings.
