We eat Carp,
not the huge ones, but smaller ones on holland river I tried couple times and it was great.

I asked Toronto police once if I can bow fish on Toronto island for carps ... lol they were not even happy to be asked.

Nope, no discharge ... bow nor shotgun. I wanted to hunt ducks behind the island also and that was no go as well.

Funny story, no names. When an acquaintance was a rookie Toronto cop they got a call for flashing lights on the Leslie Street spit. They attended, snuck up and approached a group of guys shooting seagulls. They challenged them and after the suspects put their guns down the 2 cops were scanning the men with flashlights. One cop whispers to the other "Hey, these are the guys we order Chinese food for the station from" lol.
