Looking for a new jigging rod

Hi all, I'm looking for a new jigging rod (spinning) in the 6'6 range. Looking to spend $100ish.

Sensitivity to feel bites is key. I know I won't get the best at that dollar amount, but I also know there's rods in that range that are pretty good.

Fenwick 6'6" ML fast HMX would be my choice in that price range, or the next step up would be a St Croix, but getting into the $200 range unless you can find a deal.

I switched my jigging rod this year and I'm glad I did, I used to use a medium 6' ugly stik, This year and from now on I will be using a 4.5' ultra light ugly stik. I can feel the bottom and any light touches. That's my 2 cents worth. I should say that I jig for walleye

Ugly stick all the way, cheap rods and quality reels for me. If you want a sensitive feel, I suggest braid with mono leader.

I love my ugly stick for the walleye very sensitive and get good hook sets with a medium action. It would also fall in the price your looking at might pay a little more after tax. I only get them on sale lol.

My best friend tried hard to change me to Ugly stick, it never worked for me.
I love my Berkley Lightning, been using them for a long time.
I also have a Abu Garcia rod that comes out every time, can’t remember model number.

$100 might be on the low side to find something really good
I broke a rod on the Detroit River this spring and replaced it with a 6'6" Diawa Kage "snap Jigging special" its a phenomenal rod but comes in around the $230 mark
I've also heard great things about Tactical gears jigging rod and they are quite a bit cheaper

I have a light 6ft HMX, this currently leads my list in a medium 6'6

Ive own a bunch of Ugly Stiks already (mostly for the kid and wife at this point) and while I agree they are more sensitive then they are given credit for, Im looking for something with a bit more feel

I had one Lightning about a decade ago and found it OK. It got broke in a car door. May revisit thanks to this.

Ya, $200 isnt in the budget at this point. The Fenwick HMX mentioned above is pretty good and right in that price range. Looking to see if theres anything missing. Almost 20 years ago I had a fantastic Fenwick given to me (cant remember the model) that was an amazing jigging rod with the most sensitivity Ive ever felt in a rod.
