Bring on the ice
What ice fishing trips do you have planned this season. I have two trips to Nip. One in Feb for our annual guy's trip with my boys, brother and friends and another with Species mid-March, other than that, fishing my home spots, Lake St Clair and Rondeau Bay

Looking forward to our trip in March. Cottage is ready - just finished winterizing it on Sunday. Think i have managed to finally get ahead of the mice this fall as well. Worst fall ever in my memory for those little invaders. I caught over 70 since labour day. Last round though was pretty light only 2 mice in 26 traps after 14 days.
Planning to hit Nip half a dozen times if i can manage it. Maybe the odd back lake. Thinking if conditions permit maybe try Abitibi second or third week of December. Than after Nip closes try an April trip to Abitibi.

Man, that's a heck of a trap line you have set up for those little critters. I have also experienced more mice in my basement than in past years.
Thinking that's a sign of a cold winter on its way?

Mostly local trout fishing trips probably go to Simcoe and the Kawarthas to

I'm looking to do an overnight on Simcoe for some perch with a couple buddies this season. Other than that just getting out a lot more with the lady, she seem's pumped enough for the season
-
Lake of Bays for me for lakers and white fish
-
Simcoe Simcoe and some more Simcoe lol.
Hopefully some good ice by Jan 1 2023 for a nice fresh whitefish dinner mmm yum yum lol.
We could probably see another change as I noticed some changes last season let's see if that pattern persist. Fish in different areas what what hot for year's slowing down and switching back to perch or vise versa.

Got the sled out tonight for a once over and short ride. Everything checked out good. Just waiting on ice now.

So shelter and sled have both passed inspection. Just need to give the tackle a once over now.
