Haven't posted here in many years but thought I'd share my story. This guy came out to me Monday the 16th and stood broadside 30 yds from me at 4pm in the afternoon. It was a chip shot and I didn't screw it up this time. The butcher weighed him at 165lbs without the hide, head or forelegs etc., live weight likely around 290 according to the calculators online. Wow! That's the kind of buck that makes hunters leave marks in their underwear. I can only imagine the "OMG" that came into your head when you saw him step out. Good thing you had the wheeler as dragging him through thick bush for any distance would have been a nightmare and a trip to the physiotherapist. I agree he'd be a 300 pounder on his feet. That's a "beef", not a deer! You better go out and get another freezer !
