The Cedar Ghost
Me and hunting partner Ihunt hit the uplands in hopes of finding some grouse and with the snow melting away maybe a chance in seeing the Cedar Ghost. We hit up our favourite public spot and starting kicking cedars and in a flash I see the white ghost trying to evade us but the Beretta was hungry and with a quick snap shot our first Hare of the season is down. After some high fives we continued with our plan and kept pushing rabbit looking low cedars and before we know it Ihunt yells RABBIT but he had know shot. I met up with him and we start stomping the cedars in hopes of re-flushing the Hare. Well the plan worked because the Ghost was trying to vanish but from the corner of my eye i caught movement and the Beretta once again takes this majestic Hare down. It was a great time out and we have some meat for the pot.

Well done!!! your pics show a perfect habitat for hunting snows.
I gave them a break this season, population is low in my hunting spots (miss hunting them)

It’s been 10 years hunting this area and I never been the same since the first couple of years. I know they are in a cycle but compared to the first couple of years I believe numbers are down and yote numbers are way up. This is just based on my sightings and harvest rates over the years.
