Turn on your headlights

[COLOR=#050505]I would like to remind people to PLEASE manually turn on your headlights when driving especially in conditions that may occur this next few days. A lot of vehicles, even newer ones do not turn on your tail lights automatically, just your headlights. If you don't believe me go check yours right now. You will see your head lights but no tail lights in daylight hours. When visibility is low it will be much easier to see the rear end of your car when the tail lights are on. [COLOR=#050505][COLOR=#050505]It's a good habit to do this in all weather.

Sad reality the smarter they make the cars the poorer the drivers are made. Yup one of my pet peeves thoughtless drivers when it comes to others on the road,

One of my pet peeves is drivers who either equip their vehicles with blinding headlight or do not know how to lower their headlight from high beam and seem to be totally unaware they are blinding others on the road.

Sometimes they are actually on Low Beam there are some super bright Led lights. I have flashed the odd car and they would flash back, their Low beam was brighter than my high beam. Some of these light are causing issues for my eyes since mine do not adapt as fast as they use to.

Amen to all of the above ! Then there are some that think the lights come on automatically but don't and those so called fog lights... what a joke ! Good for blinding oncoming traffic.

Pappy use to put this way, at 40 mph you are overdriving your headlights. I took from that it was totally unsafe to drive using high beams, so I find little use for them save to flash people in the oncoming traffic who insist on using them. As to those white LED headlamps they should be banned, their greater light range simply encourages unsafe driving habits and they pretty much serve to blind oncoming motorists.

I use high beams at night on country roads as I find they pick up the reflection of deer eyes sooner on the side of the road before they try to make bumper mush on me.
