OPP cop killer was on bail after prior officer assault

I posted another article a few weeks back about a US Gun smuggler who got off due to our incompetent legal system... unfortunately here is another SAD SAD example that resulted in the tragic death of a beautiful young OPP officer...

WHY is the government so focused on law abiding gun owners and WHEN will they get tough on criminals? I am contacting my local MP (again) to ask these questions...

[COLOR=#191919]Pierzchala, 28, was fatally shot while responding to vehicle in the ditch west of Hagersville around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police arrested two suspects hours later
[COLOR=#191919]McKenzie and Stewart-Sperry appeared briefly Wednesday afternoon at the Cayuga courthouse, where they were remanded into custody until their next appearance on Jan. 17. A judge ordered the pair not to communicate with a list of potential witnesses and family members of the slain officer.
[COLOR=#191919]Court records show McKenzie was released on bail on June 27 after spending nearly six months in custody after Hamilton police arrested him a year ago.

[COLOR=#191919]McKenzie, of no fixed address at the time, was arrested on Dec. 1, 2021, and charged with a dozen offences including assault with a weapon, assaulting a peace officer, assault, possession of a firearm without a licence, carrying a concealed weapon, mischief and possession of counterfeit money.
[COLOR=#191919]The gun involved was a handgun with its serial number removed and McKenzie was under a pair of weapons bans imposed by judges in 2016 and 2018, the documents say.
[COLOR=#191919]The death of Pierzchala, the fifth Ontario police officer killed on-duty since September, drew condolences from police forces and politicians and outrage from some police officers.

this is just so sad. its not the gun it the person behind it that is the problem.

The loss of anybodys life is a bad loss, but at the hands of a known criminal, prohibited from owning firearms, this was a fugitive at large, not out on bail, he missed his court date back in September, this is blood on the hands of our government, they dropped the ball, this guy should've been locked up,

Without doubt,this why we hear "crickets" from the usual political grave dancers and pro gun control advocates. This on THEM,100%.

Because guns are on the agenda. It doesn't matter what happens they are focused on an agenda and taking firearms out of the publics hands.

End of story it's part of the sdg that they are working on. Easy to pick on the little guys, you are law abiding citizens and a minority. Mandates will push the larger crowds to further the agenda. The Canadian agenda is tied to the un the un is tied to warp speed global resets.

Means you'll have less guns and be happy with the ones they let you keep lol.

Not to sure why you believe the pro gun control advocates are remaining silent? It might be out of respect for the fallen officer.

This incident is right up their alley ,if guns were not so readily available this would not have happened?

This has much more to do with the revolving justice system door that has been releasing dangerous criminals back onto the streets for at least the past 45 years.

Absolutely nothing new, bail is given much to easily and always has been.

But its not always the fault of the COURTS, many a time a suspect has been held in jail on remand for years in some cases only to see a criminal trial fall apart because the case was not put together right in the first place. So the Courts err on the side of caution and release the
suspect.

No amount of gun control will ever prevent this. You hit the nail on the head with the revolving door bail system. It's gotten beyond ridiculous. Gun control advocates having respect is a non-starter. It would be a first if true. Questions won't stop there,though. The suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant for fail to attend court on a firearm prohibition order violation and a bail revocation. Why wasn't he actively being sought and scooped up immediately? Back in the day,the world would have stopped and we'd have been on him like junkyard dogs with the warrant in hand. It looks like the whole system collapsed and this young PC paid the price.

I have no stake on this-but is it not the same mantra what our Oh so Progressive Oh so Understanding and Oh so inclusive Government wants "everyone"to belive in?

Simple:

Is this gun was registered?
If yes????.....Questions!

If NOT-even more questions!
AND
Zero blame on gun availability...........

And BTW-i really feel sorry for the Young lad.
People paying price for the Actions of the Governement should stop.

Major cause, Judges that keep letting them out.
