Monkey off my back
Got to the farm just before first light with a few coffees for the farmers. Chatted for a bit before I headed to the back of the farm and was setup just after legal light. Played a few dying rabbit sounds for about 6 minutes before I notice this coyote coming in. I let him get about 15 yds behind the caller before I yelled out a loud WOLF sound to get him to stop. It was a 75 yd frontal shot that dropped him in his tracks.
I got to say, with the lack of snow, they blend in so well it is extremely difficult to see them coming across the field in low light conditions. So much so that I had them on top of the caller before I notice them. I missed a few because of this, nice to get back on them.

Your correct about hard to see them in low light condition with no snow on the ground.
I was going home the other night and it was dusk and I thought I saw movement in the field so I slowed down and sure enough 2 coyotes crossed the road ahead of me

Nice work Frank. If you are missing them than us amateurs are a lost cause. Think i'll stay in until we get some snow cover.
