My other half picked one up this morning... Pulled pork sandwiches along with coleslaw Sunday nite.... It'll be going into the slow cooker in the morning. Just got through puting a dry rub on it... If it turns out like the last one, it was awesome...
I just ground one from last year and did some venison pepperettes for the first time, still have another picnic in the freezer so I guess I should make time.
It’s on my to do list for tomorrow.
I picked up a small picnic but the couple in front of me grabbed 4 shoulders to make sausage.
I cook up the picnic as a roast slow cooked uncovered to get the fat cap nice and crispy. I should try and make the sausage again.
