Rifle refinishing

Can anyone suggest a place,or person that refinish rifle stocks. I would do it myself, bur worried i'll mess up the checkering.

Thanks. I've checked out U=Tube and there is indeed a ton of info, but i can't find any that deal with the checkering. I don't want to try and re-cut it, just clean it enough to match the rest of the rifle

I've done several firearms and maybe this will help

After taking the stock from the rest of the rifle I've used a Methylene Chloride based gel paint stripper to remove the coating. This is flammable and should be done in a well ventilated area..then I used a small soft brass brush from Cdn Tire to clean up the checkering.
I then used masking tape to cover the checkering and used a razor blade around the checkering to trim the tape. then you can sand to remove scratches. Then remove the tape and you are ready to stain and oil finish or polyurethane coating the stock
