Frankford, Ontario

Just a quick question off the cuff for a friend. where are a couple decent spots for someone starting out to catch something other than Bluegills and other sunfish from the Shore in around the Frankford, Stockdale, Glen Ross, Mapleview areas?

What would their best choice of lure type be and what type of area would they be looking to cast Into?

They would mostly be fishing late afternoon / early evening.

I know they were asking about and saying they would try minnows tonight.
