Anyone have this caliber and if so how do you like its on game performance
I have an very early Weatherby (made by Sauer) in .257 Wby. I have used it for pronghorns, caribou and coyotes. Mine has a 1:12 twist, so I am limited to 100 gr bullets (accuracy). It is an excellent cartridge, although noisy. I find it works well on game, although as always shot placement is is the most important factor.
I picked up a Weatherby Mark V ultralight in .257 from Epps. I bought 100g TTSX ammo as recommended by the sales guy.
