Embarrassing to say the least.
Probably so many tv host and social media people poach just for the fact they post it on the internet and makes them feel special,
That's likely closer to the truth than we think. Many of the American outdoor shows are highly suspect at the best of times. Quite clearly, they're chasing the corporate advertising dollar. Lots of the shows are glorified infomercials with some very dubious content. This latest incident with The Beaulieu's leave me shaking my head. They had to know the scrutiny in BC is over the top because of the rampant anti-hunting campaigns being launched from politicians. Wouldn't you think they'd have their "T's" crossed and the "i's" dotted? This one takes a very special kind of stupid which is too bad because the show was reasonably decent.
Remember Henry and Italo? They got caught illegally fishing, re-hooking and passing it off as a great, legal show.
The guys claimed that there was never any intent to poach, lol how do they explain fornicating up so often. Sounds like massive denial to me.
I read an article on this on another site FB maybe? It seems that almost all of the charges were tag related:
- they shot animals on other persons tags when they also had a license - similar to party hunting in Ontario - which was not allowed there
- they also shot animals on another persons license when they didn't have a license at all
Some of the offenses were "self-reported" after they found out what they had done was illegal.
It's just mind-boggling how unaware of game laws these people were - yet still filming a hunting show. I just can't comprehend that.
