of course this fish has contributed to the lakes genetics for the last approx 55 years so I would have also understood if he wanted to keep it as well.. would have made the mount of a life time.Quote:

I have 3 records and some close ones carp 55-1/4lbs, lake ontario nuke plant pickering honorable mention 19-1/4 lbs walleye nuke plant as well . yellow perch 3.5 lbs eastern Ontario. and small mouth bass 14 plus lbs in large Haliburton lake ....can I prove it...nope...

Your right, I totally agree with you that its fine to keep it as well since it is old anyways but its still a shame for the fact that your not going to eat it, so its almost a waste. You can still get a mount done with the pictures and measurementsQuote:
