Im looking at powder coating my R.E.A.L bullets and Maxi balls. Anyone ever try this to see if it improves accuracy and less lead build up in barrels?

Are you using a patch? I use patches and don't have lead fouling problems more than what could be considered normal.
The Maxiball I cannot Patch. The R.E.A.L bullet I can.
I am looking for accuracy as well, I can get the Micrometer out to get a good fitting patch.
My Uncle was a rendezvouses shooter in BC, They used to use rolling papers to get a tight patch by increasing it a few mm with them. IF it makes a huge difference I am not sure but he did win allot of competitions. I was thinking it may help.
This is for my .54 Renegade and Lymans front stuffers.
I have had good accuracy with Maxi balls in the past but due to cost switched to round ball and patch many years ago, though that's not much help in response to your question if you prefer maxi balls for the extra accuracy and further distances.
Thank You for the replies
I plan on hunting my Bull tag this fall with my front stuffer. I plan on 100 and possibly 150 yards if the gun can constantly group out that far. Maxiball is what I plan on using. I have 150 ish of them.
Ill use my 50 cal for deer for sure and a round ball or R.E.A.L bullet for bear in the .54
Interesting topic-have no idea what to advise-but i am curious what are you planning to powder coat the lead bullet with?
I think my jighead powder coat
