Hunt # 1 & 2 are completed. Anyone attend either hunt and have information on how it was?
Weather seemed warm last Thursday? Must have been hard on the dogs.

We participated in the 2nd main hunt. Birds were plentiful and very very challenging flyers and runners, giving the young dogs quite an education!
Everyone we met, hunters and residents, were very gracious.
Thursday was a bit warm, but as long as you carried water for the dogs and found places for them to take a dunk, they were fine.
Friday was cooler but with strong winds, making for more skittish, harder to find and faster birds. I made the right choice by switching from my I/C & Mod 20 ga to my Mod & Full 16ga.
Saturday was a perfect cool and sunny fall day with birds a plenty!

Nice shoot, good eating birds.
Hi
Just got back from hunt #3.
A bit cool in the morning.
From my perspective finding birds Thursday was relatively easy and progressively harder Friday and Saturday.
Seems like they got smart and had moved to tougher inaccessible areas.
Still a good time.
I also should add I got to see a Gordon and English setter in action.
I see a lot of people using GSP but it was my first time seeing a group using Gordon and English setters.
