Pulled the trigger on a diesel heater

If you read my post a few weeks ago where I camped out overnight, you might remember that I mentioned that the windchill made it feel like -30. The big buddy heater just managed to keep the hut warm but there was condensation on the walls and the underside of my cot.

Since I want to do more overnighters I decided to pick up a Chinese diesel heater and a 100 amp hour lithium battery. I also picked up some spare parts… just in case.

Everything is supposed to show up by Friday so maybe I’ll get out this weekend.

Haven't seen them run except on YouTube but I do know a few people who have them and they seem to work very well.

I have looked into them but very unsure of using it in a tent.

What size structure will you have it in?

I have an Eskimo 650 pop-up hut. It’s insulated and is about 13’ in diameter. It won’t take much to heat it imo.

My new heater arrived and the first thing that I did was to replace the fuel lines and installed an inline fuel filter. The instructions were crap but thanks to YouTube I was able to figure things out. I’ve only tested it out on the back deck but it seems to work well. I hope to take it out ice camping before the fishing season closes. Cheers!
