With trump cutting back so much funding from various federal ministries, what happens to Great Lakes management?
lampreys? Invasive carp? Other invasive species? Do the individual states mainly deal with this?
Is this going to affect funding and cooperation? What about other joint outdoor programs?
I'm just curious if there's been any news on this? Maybe there has and I haven't noticed.

They are going after the waste ,fraud
They are not just cutting everything just the wasted dollars. Heck they even blew the Medicare out of proportion and are getting people all worried .
Shouldn't the government be held accountable for where the tax dollars are going. If you are an ngo and are inefficient they are cut . When the asked to see something they have done and they received taxpayers money and haven't done anything then it's simply a waste of taxpayers money.
I don't see why everyone is bent out of shape for essentially doing an audit on the government.
I don't see them cutting anything on the lakes. The lakes are not what this about .

I have recently heard that U.S. technical/science staff supporting the International Joint Commission have gone silent and are not communicating with their Canadian colleagues. This is troublesome considering the historically great, collaborative relationship and it could not have come at a worst time as we head into the spring thaw.
Hard to discern from the dramatic headlines, but the cuts aren't going to help the situation.

Just because they fired a few rookies doesn't mean they would be any less efficient than in past years. Probably hired under economy's booming look at all these federal jobs were giving out look how many jobs we created.

Imagine the fraud in our own government if we had someone to actually review the $ spent on the absolute BS! lol
A guy could see his taxes cut in half or more if they were actually accountable for spending! :)
