Does anyone have suggestions for places to go with boat-in camping? I can think of a couple of places off hand, but was wondering if anyone has a good spot to go, ideally within a 2-3 hour drive of Peterborough.

Lingham lake.
Lots of places to beach a boat on Opeongo.
My nephews love Killarney Provincial Park. Algonquin Park is good too.
a little farther but why not temagami
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was looking at Crotch Lake, any experience there? I know you have to pay for the campsites but don't know much more about it.

what kind of fish are you out to target? that would help answer that question , if you wanted to fish that is.
Bass, pike, pickeral, muskie...any of those are good. Ideally the closer to the Kawarthas the better, but I'm not opposed to driving a bit farther.
There are opportunities for boat in camping in Kawartha highlands on Long Lake. If memory serves, you can go between Long Lake and Loucks lake. This is just south of Apsley off of Long Lake rd. I think you can get your permits right at the boat launch(at least you used to). There aren't a lot of campsites, but there are a few. You would be in for bass and lakers.
Good luck

Take a look at this......I've been & love it!!!
The Massasauga is unique as a water-access-only park. The only way to access the park's 135 campsites is by canoe, kayak or boat. (Motorized travel is not permitted on the inland lake). Every campsite, therefore, is on the waterfront. Forty-eight campsites are on inland lakes accessible by portage. All campsites have box privies
Register at Pete's Place Access Point or Oastler Lake Park Office.
A boat launch is located at Pete's Place for access to Georgian Bay.
