Grand River Brown
A couple of the bigger trout i've caught in the Grand, very tough to catch but my catches are getting bigger :) Spent a nice 3hrs on the river and landed 2 about 15inches. Ironically I forgot my waders that day and had to fish from shore and did better then other days in the river!

Great fishery imo, though it has it's cons. Keep at it, there are some big Browns waiting to be caught.

great job dude!! damn browns are so elusive for me lol

They are definitely a pleasure to catch! My biggest resident brown was caught on the Grand...

Starting mid July I always used to fish the Grand in shorts and old shoes - if I got cold I would just lay in the sun on the banks and watch the rises. Best way to spend a summer. But there are some leaches in there they would get me, then the blood would attract minnows and soon I would have swarms of stuff around my legs feeding off me - only happened a few times but when it did it was fun for a bit - then annoying.
So next season try a little wet wading. Its nice to not always have so much gear.

Beautiful fish and a great accomplishment to take it on the fly.
I have yet to land a brown on the fly...perhaps next year...

That should tell you something! maybe you are to noisy walking the water or just getting to close to them when you have waders on..

I've had some luck with size 16 breadcrust and size 14 zugbug on the grand - hope this helps.
