Very few, and no tags.. A lot of people go up to Massey but same thing
We are looking into outfitters so we would have a bull tag, just seeing if it would be worth the money.
Thanks

Not a huge moose population but it's not bad. WMU 37 is worth hunting if you have a tag. I have a student whose family hunts it every year. They had a bull tag and filled it with a huge bull 50+ rack. They always see moose. But they hunt north of Espanola, so Massey and north.
If I was going to spend all that money to stay with an outfitter I'd spend extra and book in an area where there is a known quality moose population. This usually means going to the NW of the province. Any areas of the province where there are larger communities, North Bay, Sudbury, the Soo, I'd avoid like the plague when it comes to looking for a quality moose hunt.
Have to agree, if you're prepared to dish out the cash for an outfitter, why not spend a little bit more for a fly-in, a lodge, or an outfitter somewhere in the Thunder Bay to Kenora area compared to Espanola. You'll see more animals and far less people. Heck you don't even have to go with an outfitter to get a bull tag there.
