I really want a combo gun in 22mag/.410. I would like a Savage model 24, but they are hard to find especially for a decent price. Has anyone tried one of the new model 42s? I question the quality of the manual extractor. I watched a few videos with people using them and one looked like he had trouble ejecting some .22 rounds.
Any comments on the new combo in town?
Big fan of the old ones. Not a huge fan of the plastic look. But I'm sure they shoot fine
I haven't tried one, but I was looking at the Trade Exchange Canada site the other night, and they had a couple - I think they were used, but listed as "as new condition". Apparently, TEC is notorious for under rating their guns, so "as new" pretty much means new. I don't remember the price, but check it out if you are really serious about buying one. I think they were in the combo guns section, right at the end.Quote:

It would be the wmr not the long that I would consider.

A 20 gauge is way more versatile.
Another alternative might be the new Chiappa M6 that is coming out this spring. Its a 20 gauge/.22 model I believe and based on the old Springfield M6 guns.
