I have been reading lots of reviews and lots of bad ones and good ones too. Just wondering if anyone had one and could give me some more feedback.

I have an 870 super mag turkey/waterfowl with a 26" barrel and so far have had no problems. No 3 1/2" shells through it and don't really plan to, so can't comment on that.
I have a Super Mag, 23in barrel and fully rifled barrel for slugs.
Shoots slugs great, smoothbore with clamp on sights and rifled barrel.
3 1/2in shells no problem, 1 or two jams with #2 black cloud but that is all.
2 3/4in only jams were with challenger target loads, seems as though the rim was not strong enough and was ripped off by the extractor.
I am planning on getting a 28in barrel and buying a 20ga as well, I like them.
Never had a problem with my super mag... Turkey's And ducks with almost 99 percent 3.5 loads... She's getting older now and still works great...
I had one for a season. It jammed with both heavy and light loads. Even polished the chamber but you just couldn't depend on it so she got sold. I also owned an older 870 Wingmaster for a while I bought used. Thing felt like it had fired a million rounds but it never failed me.
Including myself i know three people that have 870 express super mags. All three of us have problems with spent target loads jamming. Tried federal, winchester, remington and challenger loads and all had issues. That being said i fixed mine by polishing the rough grooves out with a dremel and it functions flawlessly since then. Even though i had to do some work to it myself i now love this gun and havent had a single issue with it since can blast clays all day no problem
Super Mag with 26" barrel. No problem with 3.5" turkeys loads, or 2 3/4" trap loads. Mine was bought new at least 12+ years ago. Maybe issues are with guns of a certain vintage?
Buy a Super Nova and just save yourself the headaches!
I don't know, post didn't mention anything about a budget...
