Winter Blahs
Went up to see the litter my next lab is coming from. They are 3 weeks tomorrow. Still a pile of black but are beginning to move around and make noise. Can't wait until I can pick my girl, so instead I came home with a 12 week old fox red yellow. My friend bought her out of Indiana and between the litter of 10 and having the worst cold she just hasn't had a great deal of time for this gal. So she will be staying with me at least until I can pick my pup up. Ruth says she is just a lab but she is a beauty. A really nice pup. Right now she is laying at my feet. Monday we are going to start her in a beginner obedience class. I wanted to bring her home so that my gang will be ready when the new one arrives. So far the chocolates are doing fine with her, male is a little nervous but the old female is terrific. She has had pups so knows how to deal with one. It is my black that I really needed to test. She is my shadow and would like to be the alpha. I have to keep tabs on her or she bosses the other two around. She is not very enthusiastic about the pup but right now they are sleeping together.
Guess my days of feeling sorry for myself are over. Will now have to get out and do things, weather be darn.

I've been puppy sitting for Ray for the last week. His four month old pup has been an absolute delight to have around. DEFINITELY helped keep my mind and body occupied! I'm sad I have to give her back tomorrow (Dakota Creek says I should just keep her haha). She has really gotten along well with the girls here, but who she has really bonded with is, of all dogs, WILLOW! Miss Willow, who dislikes change and is indifferent to most dogs, has really taken a shine to the pup as well. They play well together and gravitate toward each other when we're outside.
Enjoy the little fox red until your girlie comes home, and I hope the puppy love will help boost your mood =)
