I've been trying to determine what the best depth to fishing Whities? I used to go to the deepest part of the lake (120 feet) but I'm starting to think that might not be the only (best) option. What do you think?

I've been getting them in 40-70 feet, on simcoe that is
Yup, seen them at 30 in lakes. They will be where the food is, not the deepest part of the lake.
I know a guy who fishes mostly in 10 ft, and slays em. I know a guy who fishes in 110 ft and slays em.
I get them at 45' in a lake thats 120' deep, but I'm sure theres some down at 120' as well, I just don't fish there.
In the winter, everywhere. Any where from 6'-120'. Find a food source, find the whities.
80ft for me shallow fish are usually more active and feeding tho
everyone has their own preference. ive seen them constantly in 120' down to 40' this season.
I am addicted to sight fishing for them in the skinny water, they are slow moving usually which means you can be 100% ready for the bite. If there is enough of them they can really dirty things up and make visibility very poor.
