Few From Thursday

Took one of my old Partners into a small Speck Lake. A little tough going breaking trail in as our combined age is 140. But we got there and caught our limit. Same old for me, 8 fow under the ice, small silver Williams, 2" Dace minnow with a stinger in its tail. Got 9 jigging and one on a tip up. By the way, these were all just over 2 lbs. You can judge the length by the small hatchet,

How do you usually cook them?

Some guys would just show a couple of pics, but NO, you have to show 8 or 9! Talk about rubbing salt in the wound!

Gretzky was good but was always a bit of a pretty boy anyway. He definitely didn't want to have anything to do with blood on the ice!! :) :)

Actually guys I never get to eat many of my fish. There is always a bunch of promises I have to keep, after telling people I will bring them a meal. These were filleted an deboned, something I never do with Specks, then given to a friend. I just gut mine, roll them in flour, salt and pepper, then on to a frying pan in oil.
