1 down 1 to go for 2014
Went out this morning 5 am at brother in laws favorite turkey area, he put me in a good spot. Heard gobbles 10 mins after we got settled . Didn't put out decoys today , decided just wait and watch, didn't even call. 2-3 toms around gobbling pretty good . Realized they weren't down from roost yet . Waited patiently till 630 then one hen came through, then another, then a few more , followed by Tom . 20 yard shot from my Remington and he was down and out . Flopped around for a few seconds and plop right into creek. Went out and retrieved it, looked good once it dried out. 20.4 lbs Thanks to my brother in law, should have been his .

Congrats!! Nice to get one down.

Congrats on your bird. I was also lucky this morning. The gobbles were all over the place in my area

Wish my in laws were turkey hunters, rather than just a bunch of turkeys ;)
Congrats!
