Just returned from a week at Meta Lake Lodge out of Nakina, Ontario. This lake is unbelievable for walleye numbers. There were 4 of us and we averaged 125/day , most between 1.5 lb and 3 lb. We had 3 shore dinners for the week and brought home 4 each and released the rest. The walleye are still on the shoals and they loved white jigs with white twister tails. Hope to return again next June.
Just returned from my 3rd trip too Meta Lake Lodge out of Nakina. Again the fishing was fabulous, with 750+ walleye and several pike, one 15 pounds. This lodge has great fishing, hosts, accomodations, safe boats and good meals. It is expensive, but you are a long time dead, so everyone should be lucky enough to enjoy a fly in fishing experience.
No pics? Glad you had a great time. I'd like to take my wife up there one day, but I might have to drug her to get her up in a small plane?
I have no computer smarts Bullmoose so I don't put up pictures. The plane is a 8 passenger turbo from Luenenberger's and the flight is only 25 minutes so I think your wife would enjoy it. I am sure you both would be amazed just how good the fishing is here.Quote:
