This is the largest pike (34") I've caught so far this year. I don't target pike - they just find me!
I also caught a slightly smaller pike, a nice smallmouth (on fly rod) and 3 nice largemouths. All carefully released.
To add to the afternoon I saw 7 Midland Painted Turtles to report to the Toronto Zoo's Turtle Tally, 5 ducks, a loon and a bunch of Canada Geese. Not bad for 3 hours!

Pike fishing is great. Some day/year soon I'm going to target some spring pike up on the channel east of Manitoulin. I saw "Italo" catch some big buggers up there plus take some nice rainbows at a Native camp there. Early season Pike and Trout? Nice.
