i,m looking at buying one. not to sure if they,re still legal to ride on trails or even get insurance. i havent seen any in the bush for a long time. any help would be app..... thanks

I think that getting insurance is not possible, so I would call around before you purchase.
Since you can't get insurance for them, you can't get a plate for them so they can't leave your property.
I own two Big Reds. One (86) needs refurbishing, but my 82 is use almost everyday around the farm. Great machines.

Ya, you can't plate or insure them because they are so easy to roll and hurt yourself, but they are light and can get into some tight areas to pull deer out. If you don't plan on riding public trails I think you could get one.
Really, do some research and don't believe everything you read. My son has one, got it plated and insured legally. We spent last weekend driving around the bush trails north of North Bay, stopped by OPP and they had no problem with it when he pulled out his paperwork.
